
Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring
- Prep Oven & Sausage: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Brown the 1 pound of ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small, even crumbles. This should take about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the cooked sausage to paper towels to drain, then allow it to cool completely.
- Make the Filling & Arrange Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled sausage with the 1 cup of grated Monterey Jack cheese and 1 cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese. Add the optional ½ teaspoon of garlic powder and ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning if you are using them. Place an inverted 5-6 inch bowl in the center of your prepared baking sheet as a guide. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles and arrange them in a circle around the bowl. The wide ends of the triangles should overlap at the bowl’s edge, and the points should extend outward.
