
Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring
Carefully remove the bowl from the center. Distribute the sausage and cheese mixture evenly around the ring on the wide portion of the dough. Fold each dough triangle point over the filling and tuck it underneath the inner edge of the dough to secure the filling. In a small bowl, whisk together the 1 large egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Brush this mixture generously over the entire dough surface of the ring. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the dough is a deep golden brown. Rotate the pan halfway through baking for even cooking.
Note: For a Mexican-inspired twist, try using chorizo sausage and pepper jack cheese. For an Italian version, use Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese.
