Tip: When possible, use organically grown apples to avoid pesticides and other chemicals.
Step 2: Drying
The apple peel can be dried before use to enhance its aroma and flavor. Place the peel on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at a low temperature (around 50°C) for 30 minutes, until dry and crisp.
Step 3: Brewing
After drying, it’s time to brew:
Pour 500 ml of water into a pot and add the dried apple peel.
Simmer for about 10 minutes.
After this time, reduce the heat and steep the tea for another 5 minutes.
This process will help release the beneficial substances from the apple peel into the water, creating a fragrant and delicious infusion.
Step 4: Straining and Seasoning
After brewing, strain the tea and remove the apple peel.
Tip: You can sweeten the tea with honey, which also has soothing properties and adds a delicious flavor. You can also add cinnamon, which is known for its tension-relieving properties.
