Homemade Apple Pie: A Classic Taste with a Modern Twist

apple pieces, a subtle cinnamon flavor, a soft center and a crispy crust – perfect for any occasion, from a lazy afternoon to unexpected guests.

Ingredients:

2 eggs

100g coconut sugar (or regular sugar)

100ml vegetable oil or melted butter

150g wheat flour or spelt flour

1 tsp

baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
A pinch of salt

2 medium apples (peeled and diced)

Icing sugar to sprinkle (optional)

Instructions:

In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until golden brown.
Add the oil and mix.
Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a separate bowl.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and fold gently until everything is combined.
Add the chopped apples and fold gently into the batter. Pour the mixture into a greased 20cm springform pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
