1. First, peel the onion, then peel the potatoes and carrots. Wash the celery. Dice everything. Now, heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the onion and celery and sauté for a few minutes until the onion is translucent.
2. Add the ground beef and brown it well. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika powder.
… Now pour in the beef or vegetable broth and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.
3. Now stir the frozen vegetables into the soup and simmer for another 14–15 minutes over medium heat, until the vegetables are tender. Serve with freshly baked baguette.
Our tip: We find a vegetable mix of green beans and carrots delicious in our hamburger soup. You can also add peas, bell peppers, or perhaps corn.
