Sweet and sour with 350g chicken breast – better than in a Chinese restaurant

First, cut the chicken into strips and season with salt and pepper.
Next, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, water, and egg to form a batter (the consistency should be like pancake batter).
Then, dip the chicken in the batter, fry in hot oil, and keep warm.
Now heat the oil in a pan, add the pressed garlic, onions, sugar, vinegar, and ketchup, finely chop the mushrooms and bell peppers, season, add soy sauce, and sauté until tender-crisp.
Then, if desired, thicken with a little cornstarch. Add the meat to the sauce just before serving.
Our tip: You can also add bamboo shoots and peas.
