
Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak
- Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the 2 lbs lean ground beef, ½ cup breadcrumbs, ¼ cup milk, 1 (1 oz) packet onion soup mix, and ½ teaspoon dried thyme. Mix all ingredients together until they are well combined, then shape the mixture into 8 uniform patties.
- Prep Slow Cooker & Brown Patties: Arrange the 1 sliced white onion in the bottom of your slow cooker. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. Lightly dredge each patty in the ¼ cup all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess. Brown the floured patties on both sides in the hot skillet. The patties do not need to be cooked through, just nicely browned.
