Combine & Finish Baking: Remove the onions from the oven. Slowly and carefully pour the cream mixture over the onions and sprinkle with the ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and return to the oven. Bake for another 20 minutes. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 5 minutes to allow the onions to brown and caramelize further.Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
