🧪 INSTRUCTION:
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
- Clean and sanitize all tools, containers, and surfaces.
- Use a double boiler or heat-safe glass bowl over simmering water.
Step 2: Melt the Base
- Add petroleum jelly, shea butter, and beeswax pellets to the bowl.
- Stir gently until fully melted and combined. The mixture should be smooth and slightly glossy.
Step 3: Incorporate Oils
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly (but not solidify).
- Stir in almond oil, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, and optional castor oil.
- Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
Step 4: Add Botanicals and Actives
- Add essential oils, vitamin E, and any optional extracts.
- Stir slowly and consistently to avoid air bubbles.
- If using aloe vera gel, whisk gently to emulsify.
Step 5: Pour and Set
- Pour the balm into a clean, dry container (glass or BPA-free plastic).
- Let it cool at room temperature until firm.
- Seal with a lid and label with the date.
