SERVINGS:
This recipe yields 1–2 servings, depending on cup size. For therapeutic use, drink 1 cup daily, preferably in the morning or early afternoon. It can be consumed up to twice a day for more noticeable results, especially during periods of increased swelling or fluid retention.
For long-term benefits, incorporate parsley tea into your weekly wellness routine, alternating with other herbal teas that support circulation and detoxification.
NOTE:
- Parsley type: Both flat-leaf and curly parsley are effective. Flat-leaf tends to have a stronger flavor.
- Fresh vs dried: Fresh parsley is preferred for potency. If using dried, reduce quantity to 2 tablespoons.
- Kidney support: Parsley stimulates kidney function. Avoid excessive intake if you have kidney issues or are on diuretics.
- Pregnancy caution: Parsley in large amounts may not be suitable during pregnancy. Consult a healthcare provider before use.
- Flavor balance: Ginger and cinnamon add warmth, while mint and lemon brighten the flavor. Customize to your taste.
- Storage: Store leftover tea in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Reheat gently or enjoy cold.
- Hydration tip: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support the tea’s diuretic effects and prevent dehydration.
- Lifestyle support: Combine parsley tea with leg elevation, gentle movement, and reduced sodium intake for best results.
