First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit) with top and bottom heat.
Then line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Now mix the cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla sugar, custard powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl until creamy.
Now roll out the sheets of puff pastry.
Spread the prepared vanilla cottage cheese cream evenly on one sheet of pastry.
… Place the second sheet of pastry on top without pressing it down.
Then cut the pastry horizontally into 20 strips or other shapes.
Carefully roll the strips together.
Place the prepared bars on a baking sheet, leaving spaces between them.
Beat the egg yolk with a tablespoon of milk and brush the bars with this mixture.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
