Prepare the vegetables
Finely chop the white and red cabbage until crisp and easy to eat. Peel and grate the carrots. If using onion, chop it finely. Wash, dry and dice into small cubes.

In a large bowl, combine all of the prepared vegetables: cabbage, carrots, onion, and dill. Add the prepared dressing and mix well until everything is combined. Try not to press the cabbage too much to keep it crunchy.
Refrigerate
