First separate the eggs (yolk for brushing, white for sealing). Dice the ham and cheese (approx. 0.5 cm). Thaw the puff pastry (approx. 15 min.) and remove the film.
Mix the diced ham, cheese, crème fraîche and herbs.
Spread some of the mixture on a square puff pastry sheet (with approx. 2 cm edge).
Brush the edges of the dough with egg white, place a puff pastry round on top and press firmly with a fork from the inside out.
Repeat the same process with the remaining puff pastry rounds. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (390 °F).
Place the pastries on a baking sheet (usually only holds 4) and bake for about 20 minutes.
Serve with a salad, vegetables with sauce or simply as a snack.
