Hip pain: what does it mean?

Overexertion/overexertion: Sudden or prolonged exertion (running, long walks) without proper preparation, or a sedentary lifestyle.

Degenerative changes (coxarthrosis): Gradual onset of pain and stiffness in the joint.

Injuries: Falls, dislocations, fractures.

Bursitis: Acute pain, often following overuse, involving the joint’s bursae.

Sciatica/Femoral: Pain radiating from the back to the hip, buttock, thigh, and leg. Muscle and nerve problems: For example, iliotibial band syndrome.
When to see a doctor:
When the pain is severe, worsens at night, or does not improve with rest.
When accompanying symptoms appear: fever, rash, weakness, numbness.
When the pain limits mobility.
What to do first:
Rest: If the pain occurs after exercise, rest often helps.
Physiotherapy: Helps with overuse injuries and many other problems.
Ice/heat: Depending on the cause.
Hip pain requires a thorough diagnosis, so if you experience any symptoms, consult an orthopedist.
