
Grandma’s Donuts
First stir the yeast, sugar and oil into the warm milk.
Now pour the mixture into the flour. Knead the dough thoroughly.
Then put it in a saucepan, cover it with a towel and lid and let it rest in a warm place for about 60-70 minutes.
Then knead the dough thoroughly again and roll it out to about 2 mm thickness on a thin layer of flour.
Then cut it into 2 cm x 2 cm squares.
Now fry the pieces in batches in hot oil until they are golden brown.
Turn them often and don’t let them get too dark, otherwise they will be too dry and hollow inside.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar after removing from the oven.
Serve while still warm.
