Here’s how: First, put the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and whisk until frothy.
Then, heat the milk and cream in a saucepan until almost boiling. Now slowly pour the hot milk-cream mixture into the egg-sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
Afterward, add the alcohol and mix well.
(Optionally, you can also add the seeds from a vanilla bean and stir them in.)
You should then pour the eggnog into a clean, dry, and tightly sealable bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
