- Egg roll wrappers – 15
- Vegetable, canola, or peanut oil – 1 quart
- Water – for sealing
How to Make Easy Chinese Egg Rolls
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground pork for 5–6 minutes until fully browned. Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the coleslaw mix, oyster sauce, and ginger, then sauté for 3–4 minutes until the cabbage softens and excess moisture cooks off. Mix in the scrambled eggs if using. Remove from heat and let the filling cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Get Ready to Roll
Set up a clean, flat surface for assembly. Keep the egg roll wrappers covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out. Place a small bowl of water nearby to help seal the rolls.
