1. First, season the meat slices and layer them vertically in a narrow casserole dish, alternating with the onions, cheese, and ham.
Then, gently shake the tubs of heavy cream and pour them over the layered meat. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 50-60 minutes, depending on the type of meat.
2. Once the meat is cooked, you can drain the cooking liquid and thicken it, or simply leave it as is.
