Castor Oil Warm Compress: A Traditional Remedy for Back and Joint Pain
Warm the castor oil slightly by placing the bottle in a bowl of hot water for 2–3 minutes. (Do not microwave it.)
Pour the warm castor oil onto the cotton cloth until it is saturated but not dripping.
Place the cloth directly on the painful area—lower back, knees, swollen joints, or muscles.
Cover it with plastic wrap to prevent leaking.
Place a hot water bottle or heating pad on top to warm the compress.
Relax for 20–40 minutes while the warmth helps absorb the oil into the skin.
Remove the compress and wipe the area clean with a towel.
Use this remedy 3–4 times per week for best results.
